In 2019 we created Silver Stag Ghana to provide scholarships for school children. We know that access to education is free in Ghana but, especially in rural farming communities, families can be unable to send children to school because of the extra costs.
We are currently providing scholarships for 41 children, we help children with the cost of books, school uniforms and the cost of lunch at school.
In 2022 we ran a three weeklong summer school for 64 children at the Ada Foah Basic School .
In 2024 we organised an Education programme for 60 children in Okadjakrom, Jasikan. This programme was attended by children who do not normally go to school, it was supported by learners from Scotland and volunteers from Ghana, working in partnership to create a fun and supportive learning environment.
